GENERAL RULES:

The event is an online event, each participant participates in the event from their own device, from home. Procedure: After registration is closed, all players will be notified by email about the exact schedule. You will be notified about the draw and the first round on the date indicated in the events menu! The starting day of each game is shown in the “Events” menu. This is the starting day of the 1st round. After registration is closed, we will inform you how long the first round will last, and you should discuss with your opponent in that time interval when you will play the given match. The draw and the further schedule will be available here on the site! We will also announce it in the Discord groups!

Competition format:

Late:

If a player/team does not show up within 15 minutes of the agreed time, the other player/team will be recorded as the winner.

Postponement:

In order to ensure a smooth process, there is no possibility of postponing. Several days are left for each round so that it is possible to determine a suitable time within the given time interval. If a team/player cannot compete in a given round, that round is considered closed and cannot be replaced later. In this case, the opponent is awarded a def win. If neither team/player has a suitable time within a round, a draw will be recorded.

HearthStone

FORMAT:

  • Mode: 1v1
  • Allowed sets: the sets of the current Standard format.
  • Tournament format:
    • Group stages: Round Robin (everyone in the group plays against each other once, without a rematch)
    • Elimination stage: single elimination
  • Group stage match format: Shielded Draft, best of 3 (3 decks, 1 shield, 1 ban, first one to reach 2 victories wins)
  • Elimination stage match format: Shielded Draft, best of 5 (4 decks, 1 shield, 1 ban, first one to reach 3 victories wins)
  •  BattleTag: Each player is responsible for their access to their own account.

RULES

Deckbuilding

  • Both players must use exactly 3 classes when building their decks.
  • Before the ban phase, each player chooses 1 class to shield, which their opponent cannot ban.
  • The higher-seeded player (lower number in the bracket) decides who starts picking.
  • We recommend using the following website to facilitate the picking and banning process (1 shield, 1 ban, Bo3): https://hs.crasher.ch/deckselect/
  • After class selection, deck modification is prohibited; entering the collection menu will result in a 1 round loss.
  • Decks/decklists can only be modified between rounds; if this happens within a round, the opponent will automatically be awarded a point (therefore, 3 different classes must be present within a round, one of which will be banned by the opponent, so the round will be played with 2 classes and thus exactly two decks).

Gameplay

  • The winner of the round is required to play with a new class; they cannot bring the same deck and class again for the rest of the match. If they do, their opponent will automatically win the round.
  • The loser of the round can choose the same deck and class they played with in the next round, or they can bring a class they haven’t won with yet and isn’t banned.
  • A player who chooses a banned class loses a round in the match. The deck that the other player just used cannot be used again (because they ‘won’ with it in that round).
  • The usage of deck trackers is allowed.

Reporting Results

  • It is the duty of both players to approve the exact result at the end of the match and then send a screenshot to the organizers.
  • When taking the screenshot, make sure you are not using Streamer Mode (i.e. your usernames are visible, not ‘You’ and ‘Your Opponent’)! To toggle this on and off, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+S.

EXAMPLE PROCEDURE OF A MATCH:

  1. Check the draw.
  2. Add your opponent to your friends list.
  3. Agree on a time that suits both of you.
  4. Complete the pick, shield and ban phases.
  5. Play the rounds.
  6. One of you submits the results and screenshots on Discord, and the other approves it.

  • In the other competition phase, the team has 72 hours from the match to formulate its object of protest through an official channel.
  • The organizer reserves the right to individually judge cases that are not explicitly supported or listed in detail in the rulebook, or in extreme cases, even to decide against these rules in order to maintain fair play and sportsmanship.

  • The participation of players whose registration details (nicknames, team names, account names) do not correspond to the league’s values have obscene, sexual, vulgar or political content or are referred to in any indirect or direct way, may be disqualified and excluded from the tournament at any point of the competition.
  • Nicknames must not contain a sponsor and the OPL regulations for generic nicknames apply.
